"Being a part of Bikram yoga is my dream come
true.
I have always wanted to have a profession that has a positive effect
on society.
I immediately fell in love with yoga and decided to attend Bikram's school
in Los Angeles.
Here, Bikram enabled me to fully understand the Yoga Postures.
In 1999, I became a certified instructor and before I knew it I was teaching
at Bikram Yoga.
I continue to enjoy working with some of the most wonderful people in
Boston."

Born in the summer of 1972 to a woman who would at the
age of 56 end a 25 year practice of morning running to
devote her time and energy to the practice of bikram yoga;
living with a louisianna swamp dog who can not
understand where all the water bottles come from; finally
understanding the subtle and all powerful joy of living a
balanced life; and slowly cultivating more patience,
determination, self-discipline and concentration (not to
mention the humility that comes from trying to stand on one
leg as you bring your forehead to the knee of the other leg).
try this yoga- it will change your life.

I worked in the restaurant business for 15 years. As I moved up in
the company,
eventually becoming a district manager, my stress level increased.
I had insomnia, anxiety, headaches, I was angry all of the time, etc.
Classic stress case! Every doctor I spoke to had some drug that would make
it
all go away. But I KNEW I needed to change my life. Working
long hours days
6 or 7 days a week was not a life. Things needed to change. I needed
to
become healthier physically and mentally. I found Bikram Yoga.
From my first class I knew that this would be the path
to take for me to heal myself. I felt my body getting stronger.
I had
more energy and a better outlook on the world. As my stress level declined
I
started to notice the other stressed out angry people out there and I
thought to myself, "boy, they really need to find some yoga!" If this yoga
could change my life, it could change anyone's! So, I went to L.A.
and
received my certificate. I look forward to years of spreading the
yoga, touching
lives and healing people, inside and out, hopefully doing my part to make
this world a little less angry and a lot more peaceful.

Since childhood I had been trying different conventional medicines to battle
sinus headaches. Even when the pain would briefly subside I worried
about a
reoccurrence. This constant worry and fear lead to anxiety and depression.
I
started practicing yoga as a way to stretch out my tight muscles from years
of playing rugby.
After only one month of practice not only was my body more limber but my
sinus headaches
lessened and after two months they were gone. I now live my life pain
free and as a
result anxiety free. Through yoga, I have healed my mind, body and soul.
As a teacher I
hope to help others do the same.
