Hot Yoga for Depressive Symptoms

Have you been feeling down or depressed? Do you no longer enjoy the things you used to?

Are you interested in finding a new way to treat your depression?

If so, you may be eligible to participate in a new research study using hot yoga to treat depression.

The Massachusetts General Hospital is conducting a new study that examines whether hot yoga might be a good treatment option for people who are experiencing symptoms of depression.

During the study, participants will attend at least two hot yoga classes a week for two months. Additionally, they will go to an MGH clinic in downtown Boston once every two weeks for assessment visits during which they will meet with a clinician and complete several questionnaires.

This study is appropriate for those who practice yoga less than three times per week, and have not practiced Hot Yoga or Hatha Yoga in the past 12 weeks.
